The company is entering a new era of growth and diversification, expanding the scope of its activities to meet the evolving demands of the market. IPODOMI now operates as a Société Anonyme (S.A.), under the leadership of Antonios Tressos, serving as Chairman and CEO, and Stergios Tressos, serving as Vice Chairman.
Board of Directors
Antonios Tressos is a Civil Engineer holding a BEng in Civil Engineering from Portsmouth University (2007), an MSc in Structural Engineering from the University of Surrey (2009), an MSc in Protection, Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Monuments from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2025), and an MBA from the University of Macedonia (2026). He has also attended numerous specialized seminars and certified short courses. From an early age, he followed his family’s path in the construction industry, developing a strong passion for monument restoration, architecture, design, and modern technological approaches. He consistently invests in expanding his knowledge and stays continuously informed on emerging technologies, business strategy, economics, and management. As part of his research and professional focus on Artificial Intelligence, he attends executive programs offered by leading international institutions such as Harvard, MIT, and Imperial College London, with a particular emphasis on AI applications in modern business environments. His extensive expertise, commitment to continuous education, and dedication to innovation constitute the core pillars of his professional journey and serve as a driving force behind the company’s growth and evolution.
Stergios Tressos graduated from Portsmouth University, United Kingdom, with a degree in Civil Engineering and continued his academic studies by obtaining an MSc in Structural Engineering from Surrey University. In 2026, he is attending the Executive MBA program at the University of Macedonia. He began his professional career in 2011 as a Site Civil Engineer and, following more than 15 years of experience in the delivery of highly demanding construction projects, now serves as Vice President of the company.
Sophia Papadimitriou is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of IPODOMI. She brings more than 15 years of professional experience in positions of increasing responsibility, with expertise in strategic management, operational excellence, change management, and organizational development. She holds a degree in Chemistry, a PhD in Electrochemistry, postgraduate qualifications from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), combining scientific rigor with strategic business thinking.
In her role at IPODOMI, she plays an active part in shaping and implementing the company’s strategy, coordinating business operations, and developing a modern and efficient organizational model. Her focus is on creating the conditions for sustainable growth, empowering the company’s people, and continuously strengthening IPODOMI’s competitiveness and market presence in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
Thanos Sidiropoulos serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company, playing a key role in shaping and implementing its financial strategy, managing financial resources, and supporting the organization’s sustainable growth.
He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Macedonia and a Master’s degree in Business Informatics from the Department of Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia. His combination of financial expertise and specialization in modern technologies and information systems enhances data-driven decision-making while supporting the company’s digital transformation and long-term growth objectives.
Despoina Karapapa is an Architect Engineer, MSc, with extensive experience in architecture and design. She is recognized for her creative approach, professional consistency, and dedication to delivering high-quality projects, with a strong focus on functionality and aesthetics.

Alongside its leadership team, the company’s multidisciplinary workforce of engineers from all disciplines collaborates with economists, project managers, administrative personnel, site managers, and skilled technical staff to deliver projects across the full spectrum of AEC & Development, addressing the most advanced requirements of both the domestic and international markets.
The company has recently been transformed into a Société Anonyme under the corporate name IPODOMI AEC & DEVELOPMENT S.A., with a strategic focus on large-scale projects and international markets. Its service portfolio has expanded beyond Design & Construction, reflecting a broader and more diversified business scope.
IPODOMI maintains offices in Athens and Thessaloniki, operates throughout Greece, and currently employs more than 100 professionals, while continuing on a strong path of sustainable growth.
The company places particular emphasis on sustainability, bioclimatic architecture, green and smart design principles, and the implementation of the most advanced contemporary building standards.
In addition, IPODOMI actively invests in real estate through both proprietary capital and strategic partnerships.

The history of IPODOMI is long and distinguished. In 1969, its founder, Nikolaos Tressos, began his professional career by undertaking numerous road engineering and infrastructure studies. Over time, he developed a strong interest in the restoration of cultural heritage and specialized in the conservation and rehabilitation of historic buildings and monuments.
At the same time, the company expanded its activities into the study, design, and construction of building projects. Despina Tressou, an Architect Engineer, introduced Interior Design services to the company, strengthening the architectural team and bringing a new creative perspective to its portfolio of services.
